Eid Holidays, Vaccination, & One Week Break.

GYM SAFETY is top priority. Covid-19 vaccination resumed early July shortly after we reopened at the end of last month. In the interest of member safety, fitness clubs wish for all their members to be vaccinated.

EID HOLIDAYS. Travel curfew was removed last week, and businesses are open as sample positivity rates dropped below 5% to an impressive 2% or less. Members are hopeful and returning in numbers after a two month lockdown. However, Eid holidays get in the way just as we got started. Government is closed for two weeks (from 16 - 31 July). Gym will close for one week (17 - 22 July) and will re-open after Eid on Saturday / 24th July.

VACCINATION is now a requirement. We do not allow anyone without at least one dose to visit the gym. Member vaccination stands at an impressive 73%, where 53% are fully vaccinated with 20% having already received one dose. 27% of members have yet to updated their status. Click here to see the graph. We are requesting all member to viber us their Vaccine Card. It is encouraging to see more members getting vaccinated in order to resume gym. At the present rate of vaccination, it is reasonable to expect all members to be fully vaccinated by September.

ZERO TRANSMISSION We are happy to announce that we have not registered a single transmission to date, and thank all our members for their cooperation in maintaining this record.

The risks of transmissions from gyms must be maintained at zero to build member confidence and safety. We must therefore continue to maintain HPA Guidelines.

  • Temperature scanning and hand sanitization is maintained at check-in.

  • Members visit the gym in exercise clothes to avoid using the change room.

  • All members sanitize equipment before use.

  • Please reserve your gym shoes exclusively for the gym floor.

  • Gym floor is sanitized at the end of each shift.

  • Group Fitness has resumed with strict 3 ft. physical distance and ventilation.

VENTILATION to prevent airborne or aerosol transmission is now a requirement. The new HPA guidelines require good air circulation inside gyms. For this reason, we have turned off our air conditioning and installed extraction fans to remove stale air. We also blow in fresh air and keep our windows open. We are in the process of creating a well ventilated gym environment with dehumidified and cooled air flow, while maintaining oxygen levels ideal for exercise.

STAYING OPEN is in the interest of all members and staff. The good news is that gyms are now unlikely to go into lockdown. The conditions required for managing this pandemic appear to be in place, and a year and a half of pandemic has got us used to the New Normal. While you may visit the gym in mask, it is now safe to exercise without masks in a well ventilated gym, as long as we sanitize equipment while keeping social distance.

Gyms are finally safe, and if you have one vaccine dose, you can resume gym with confidence. We hope to see all members fully vaccinated by end September.

See you back at the Gym after a relaxing Eid break.
