We are happy to announce that the Male’ Fitness Academy have been selected as an official partner of the Skills For A Resilient Workforce Program 2021-2022.

The Ministry of Higher Education launched the Skills For A Resilient Workforce Program on 15 July 2020.

We are excited at this opportunity to reach people interested in a career path in fitness and sports. This program will facilitate certification of Fitness Instructors in the tourism industry and youth interested in seeking jobs in sports and fitness.

There are many young people working as Fitness Instructors in the tourism industry. Formal certification is rare. This issue was highlighted in the Tourism Need Analysis of 2020. The report drew attention to the demand for formal training & certification.

There are also jobs in sports and fitness in the public sector. Island and city councils have job openings for Sports Development Officers, loosely referred to as the “sports counsellor”! School based PE teachers and sports coaches need exercise science as a precondition for further education. This goes for club coaches wishing a career path through the national sports associations and local clubs.

The Skills For A Resilient Workforce Program offers a National Certificate III in Fitness Instructor course tailored by the Maldives National Skill Development Authority (MNSDA). We are a official course provider for TVET. You can read about the course here.

The Male’ Fitness Academy have been allocated 60 placements under the Skills For A Resilient Workforce Program.

The course fees are subsidized and an additional monthly allowance is given for the duration of the course. You can click here to find out if you are eligible. You can access the Stipend Agreement here.

All interested candidates may apply online here. We will call you for an interview.
